Investigation Begun in Stabbing Death
Police are investigating the death Monday night of an 18-year-old Garden Grove man who was the victim of a weekend stabbing.
Mack Lee Royer died at 7 p.m. Monday at UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was taken after being stabbed in the chest Saturday night.
Royer was found bleeding in the parking lot of a Jack-In-The-Box restaurant at 12091 Euclid St., Lt. Chuck Gibbs said.
Officers were sent to the restaurant after a caller reported a fight in the parking lot, police said.
There were no suspects in the case, police said.
“There were a lot of people out there, so it’s a matter of finding someone” to come forward and describe Royer’s attackers, Gibbs said.
Gibbs urged anyone with information on the fight to call homicide investigator Marty Donahue at (714) 741-5800.
