More Rap Flap: The flap over rapper Ice-T’s “Cop Killer” continued Wednesday as the National Sheriffs’ Assn. formally urged its members and the public to boycott all Time Warner Inc. products in response to the company’s continued distribution of the controversial song. At a press conference held during the group’s national convention in San Diego, acting president Frank Policaro Jr. said the association believes in the First Amendment, but condemns any lyrics “which would cause the senseless death of any more law enforcement officers.” Policaro said the boycott should extend to the purchase of all products distributed by Time Warner and its subsidiaries, and will continue “until this offensive song is banned from public sale.”
