No Regard for Residents

The inner city of Los Angeles isn’t the only place in this city that has to worry about the quality of life. There are plenty of middle-class neighborhoods in the San Fernando Valley that are deteriorating overnight.

I live in a neighborhood that used to be an ideal location, and literally overnight the ambience of this neighborhood has been destroyed from the noise of aircraft landing at Van Nuys Airport. For some reason, which I cannot determine, the flight path for aircraft landing has been redirected to fly over my house.

What I find particularly distressing is that there are absolutely no restrictions for aircraft landing at Van Nuys Airport. This is a clear example of the people in authority who make these decisions with no regard for the citizens who live in a neighborhood. I get the impression from the various agencies I have contacted that no one really cares about the quality of our neighborhood.
