Cal Poly Professor on Science Task Force

Edward D. Walton, professor of chemistry at Cal Poly Pomona, will serve as a member of the Working Group on Science Teaching Standards, a group of 25 educators who will develop standards for science education for kindergarten through 12th grade.
The group is a special assignment of the National Committee on Science Education Standards and Assessment.
Walton, a faculty member at Cal Poly since 1987, designed and teaches the course on science in elementary school for the university’s School of Education.
