Trip Insurance Warning
I have been denied a $3,500 cancellation reimbursement by a travel insurance company for the Delta Queen steamboat based on my wife’s pre-existing condition (cancer). Although payment was cheerfully accepted, the insurance “details” were not received by me until after I had paid the trip in full. Please warn your readers--especially senior citizens--that the pre-existing condition (clause) covers any illness not “under control” for 60 days prior to the trip. Be very sure all travel insurance is fully explained by your travel agent before paying one cent.
