Label It Veto: Louisiana Gov. Edwin W. Edwards vetoed a lyric-labeling law Wednesday that would have made it a crime to sell albums bearing “harmful” warning stickers to minors. Jason Berman, president of the Recording Industry Assn. of America, whose Washington group lobbied heavily against the measure on behalf of the nation’s major record companies, called Edward’s action “a major First Amendment victory.” The law earlier had been passed by the state’s House and Senate.
