Share

The California Department of Transportation has scheduled a public hearing this month to discuss the two alternative routes being considered for a nine-mile extension of California 126 between the Golden State and the Antelope Valley freeways.

The meeting July 26 at Santa Clarita City Hall will include a formal presentation of the two routes, followed by a question-and-answer period involving Caltrans officials and members of the public. The 6 p.m. hearing will be the first of a series of public meetings on the topic.

An environmental study of the two routes will also be available before the meeting at City Hall and at local public libraries in Santa Clarita.
