COUNTYWIDE : No Holiday Traffic Fatalities Reported
Twenty motorists were arrested in Ventura County over the three-day Fourth of July weekend for driving under the influence, the California Highway Patrol said Monday.
Six of the arrests came after the drivers were involved in minor accidents, said public information officer Staci Morse, but no major injuries resulted.
Unlike previous years, there were no fatalities reported on Ventura County highways over the holiday period, which ended at midnight Sunday, Morse said.
