Police on Tuesday were looking for the driver of a truck who may have been involved in a traffic collision that killed a Westminster man and injured his twin brother.

The 22-year-old twins, Phuc and Duc Tran, were driving south on Harbor Boulevard near Quatro Avenue shortly after 5:30 p.m. Monday when their car veered to the right, jumped a curve and sheared three trees, Lt. John Woods said.

The car flipped, ejecting Phuc Tran, who was pronounced dead at the scene, Woods said.

Duc Tran, who suffered a collapsed lung, was taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where he was listed in good condition Tuesday, hospital spokeswoman Fran Tardiff said.

Woods said investigators are not sure which of the brothers was driving.

Woods said investigators think a truck that was driving behind the Trans may have struck their car, causing it to run off the road. Investigators do not have a detailed description of the truck.

Woods said that anyone who witnessed the incident should call the police traffic division at (714) 741-5823.
