Glendale Mayor Carl W. Raggio has been named vice chairman of the committee that will oversee the merger of the Rapid Transit District and the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission into the new Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Los Angeles City Councilman Richard Alatorre, who also serves on the RTD board and as a transportation commissioner, is chairman.
* George McCullough of Glendale was named president of the board of directors of Verdugo Mental Health Center.
McCullough is president of George’s Automotive Services.
* Gary D. Steinhauer has been named executive vice president of the Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation in Glendale.
Steinhauer will coordinate and supervise fund raising. He was previously director of development for the Health Care Foundation at Torrance Memorial Hospital.
