BIKEWATCH: While maybe not Tour de France material, Anaheim patrol officers will saddle their $459.99 Schwinns on Friday to begin the city’s first bicycle patrol program. Initially, seven officers and a sergeant will begin shifts at 6 p.m. and ride in pairs near the Disneyland area, part of the city’s effort at better community relations. . . . They’ll even have a designated pit crew, Dave’s Schwinn shop, to maintain the mountain bikes.
