Ross Perot, Well Met

Share

Regarding last Sunday’s letters on Ross Perot and Jack Mathews’ June 14 commentary on the film “Meet John Doe”:

It is interesting to me that some people are ready to condemn someone after they see a couple of TV programs or read a few articles. I don’t see how anyone can condemn a man who has become successful by using capitalism; it is the American way.

We have to remember that behind every successful man who has a business are thousands of jobs. If we want to condemn Perot because he made use of the lobbying system, then change the system.

Perot can’t be all bad if he straightened out the Texas school system. He puts education, employment and family first, not necessarily in that order.

It will take a strong person to straighten out all the problems that our country faces, and until someone better comes along, Perot has my vote and apparently that of millions of others who want to see a change and give this country back to the people.

Some people better do more than watch movies before they vote.
