Attorney David W. Levene said he is resigning, effective Aug. 5, from Levene & Eisenberg, a Los Angeles bankruptcy law firm. Levene co-founded the firm in 1983 after leaving Buchalter, Nemer, Fields & Younger, where he was partner in charge of the bankruptcy department.
Levene said he will continue to practice bankruptcy law in Los Angeles, but has no specific plans. However, he said he has “not spoken to any outside firm about possible employment.”
He described his resignation as “sudden” and said it was related to a “particular situation (at the firm) that I found distressing and unacceptable,” but he declined to elaborate.
