CARLSBAD : Oceanside Woman Kidnaped, Robbed
An Oceanside woman was kidnaped Saturday afternoon at the Plaza Camino Real Shopping Center by a man who forced her into her car and stripped her of jewelry and cash, Carlsbad Police said.
Police said a man put a knife to the woman as she walked to her car in the Carlsbad shopping center’s parking lot and told her not to scream. The man forced her into the car, then drove south along Interstate 5 to Encinitas, demanding that the woman pass him her jewelry and cash, police said.
Once in Encinitas, the man drove to the 4100 block of Manchester Avenue and ordered the woman out of the car, authorities said. The woman was not injured, police said. The man was last seen driving east on Manchester toward I-5, authorities said.
Police are looking for a white male between 25 and 35 years old, 135 pounds, with brown hair and a thin build. The woman’s car is a 1980 blue, four-door Cadillac Fleetwood.
