COUNTRYWIDE : Candidates May Begin Filing Today
Candidates for school boards and special districts in the Nov. 3 elections may file beginning today at the county registrar of voters office.
To qualify for office in any of the 27 school districts and 30 special districts--such as sanitary, community, irrigation and recreation--candidates must be registered voters in the district, division or trustee area in which they seek office. Some of the special districts require the candidate to also be a landowner within the area.
The registrar of voters office is at 1300-C S. Grand Ave. in Santa Ana. Filing will close Aug. 7 at 5 p.m.
For further information, call the registrar’s office at (714) 567-7600.
