Crews Start Resurfacing Project on Residential Streets

Share

Repair crews on Monday began a 20-week program aimed at improving the surface of 145 residential streets in Simi Valley.

The $2.3-million paving project will cause temporary inconvenience for residents on the streets targeted for repair work, said George T. Berg, Simi Valley’s city engineer.

“No Parking” signs will be posted on each street at least 48 hours before the road work begins, and notices will be delivered to each affected home, he said. Motorists may be unable to drive into or out of their driveways for about one day while the work is being done.

Residents can determine whether their street is among those to be repaired by calling the city engineer’s office at 583-6806.
