SAS Orders MD-90s: SAS ordered six of the McDonnell Douglas built aircraft for about $250 million and took options for six additional aircraft, the firm said. SAS will take delivery of the new aircraft in 1996. The orders replace seven prior orders for MD-80s, which SAS canceled. The first MD-90 is in production in Long Beach and is scheduled for certification in the third quarter of 1994, the company said.
