Texas businessman Drayton McLane Jr. has made a bid worth more than $100 million to buy the Houston Astros and other assets from owner John McMullen, the Houston Chronicle reported. The offer includes about $90 million for the Astros, with the remainder going toward the purchase of the Houston Sports Assn.’s lease on the Astrodome and some of HSA’s hotels, the newspaper said.
