Continental Joins Price-Fixing Settlement: Continental Airlines has reportedly agreed to join four other airlines in a $450-million settlement of a price-fixing lawsuit involving more than 12.5 million travelers. While admitting no wrongdoing, Continental said it will join American, United, Delta and USAir in giving away ticket vouchers to settle the class-action suit, the Houston Chronicle reported. The carriers have agreed to pay $450 million in cash and ticket vouchers to passengers allegedly hurt by price-fixing during the last 4 1/2 years, said W. Pitts Carr, an attorney who represented the passengers. Continental’s share in the package is $8 million.
