Clinton’s Daughter Fine After Sightseeing Injury
Chelsea Clinton, out seeing the sights of New York while her father prepared to claim the Democratic presidential nomination, got leg cramps climbing the steps at the Statue of Liberty.
“She’s totally fine,” Clinton spokeswoman Dee Dee Myers said Tuesday after the candidate’s 12-year-old daughter was brought back to Clinton’s hotel in a wheelchair as a precaution.
Chelsea and an unidentified friend from Little Rock were climbing the steps at the Statue of Liberty when the afternoon heat and steam caused cramps in Chelsea’s legs, Myers said.
