The Disneyland Freedom Bowl Classic has secured a commitment from Big East power Georgetown to play in the four-team basketball tournament at the Bren Center in December, the Orange County Sports Assn. announced Thursday.

UC Irvine Coach Rod Baker, a former Seton Hall assistant, used his connections to Georgetown Coach John Thompson to help arrange the agreement. But in order for Georgetown to come, the Freedom Bowl Classic had to be moved back more than three weeks to Dec. 28 and 30, the day before and after the Freedom Bowl football game, and Irvine had to pull out of the Indiana tournament.

The other two teams have not been set. San Diego State, which had agreed to participate before the date of the event was changed, has yet to confirm it will still play.
