The Rev. Helen Street; Glendale Minister

The Rev. Helen Street, minister of the Glendale Church of Religious Science, has died at a Sun Valley hospital. She was 52.

A resident of Sunland, Mrs. Street died Wednesday after suffering an aneurysm July 10, said church officials.

Born and reared in Nogales, Ariz., she completed her ministerial training with the Church of Religious Science in Tucson and moved with her family to Honolulu to minister to a small congregation. In January, 1991, she came to the Glendale church, which has grown from 150 to 600 members since she arrived. She traveled around the country as a speaker and had an audiotape ministry with worldwide distribution.

Mrs. Street served on the board of Religious Science International and was an active member of the International New Thought Alliance.

She is survived by her husband of four months, Rollin Holton; sons Dan Paredes and Bill Paredes, both of Kailua, Hawaii; daughter Luann Ahumada of Nogales; brother Henry Street of Albuquerque, N.M., and a grandson.

A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. today at her church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Helen Street Meditation Garden Fund at the Glendale Church of Religious Science, 2146 E. Chevy Chase Drive, 91206.
