The video arraignment system allows some routine procedures to be conducted away from the courthouse, saving time and money and reducing hardship on those who have been arrested. The traffic system uses new technology to spot trouble and adjust traffic signals and flow patterns as needed.

Each of the 25 finalists nationwide will receive a $20,000 grant. They are also eligible to win $100,000 if chosen as one of 10 programs to receive an Innovations Award.
