Sierra Madre : Stop Signs to Be Considered
Proposals to install four-way stops at the intersections of Auburn and Grandview and Carter and Auburn avenues will be discussed at the July 28 City Council meeting, which will begin at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 232 W. Sierra Madre Blvd.
The addition of new stop signs has been debated at previous meetings, and Police Chief Bill Betts recommended against them in May. But residents who live near the intersections, both of which serve as routes for children to elementary schools, have continued to request the signs.
