Lake Tahoe Airport will make a long-sought direct connection to Los Angeles next month when Alpha Airlines service starts. Airport spokeswoman Janis Brand announced the agreement with the Los Angeles-based airline, saying service should start in mid-August with two round-trip flights daily between Tahoe and Los Angeles International Airport.
