A 20-year-old Ramona man was killed and three others were injured in an apparent drunk-driving accident Sunday morning on California 67, a California Highway Patrol spokesman said.

At 6 a.m. Sunday, about three miles north of Slaughterhouse Canyon Road near Santee, a northbound car driven by 24-year-old Juan Manuel Martinez had veered off the highway and rumbled over a concrete culvert, the spokesman said.

Martinez was flown to Palomar Medical Center, where he was in serious condition with facial cuts Monday, a spokeswoman there said. He was arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving and felony manslaughter, the CHP spokesman said.

Salvador Flores, 35, was also flown to Palomar Medical Center, where he was in fair condition Monday with multiple fractures. A third passenger--28-year-old Tereso Perez Cruz--was taken to Sharp Memorial Hospital with facial cuts, and was to be released Monday, a spokeswoman there said.

All of the men were Ramona residents.
