SANTA CLARITA : Seminar to Examine Effects of New Mall
The Santa Clarita Valley Small Business Development Center is offering a free seminar on how to survive the impact of the area’s first regional mall, which is scheduled to open Sept. 3.
The Valencia Town Center, which will contain three department stores and dozens of retail shops, will compete with other local businesses, many of which are concerned about its effects, center manager Margaret Kruglov said.
The Aug. 17 program will begin at 6 p.m. and end at 9 p.m.
