Former Indianapolis 500 driver David (Salt) Walther was released from jail in Dayton, Ohio, after posting bond on an arrest warrant issued when he failed to appear for a probation hearing in Indiana.
Walther, 45, was on probation after being convicted of a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving on April 30, 1991.
