Lights! Camera! Inaction!: Sen. Alfonse D’Amato (R-N.Y.) and Sen. Lloyd Bentsen (D-Tex.) pulled out of cameo appearances in a new movie Tuesday after learning that the film is being produced by Warner Bros., a subsidiary of Time Warner Inc. that produced the controversial “Cop Killer” song by Ice-T. “It would be an affront to men and women law-enforcement officers across America who put their lives on the line every day,” D’Amato said. Bentsen canceled out because “he finds ‘Cop Killer’ offensive,” his press secretary said. Kevin Kline and Sigourney Weaver star in the film, “Dave,” whose premise is that the President has a debilitating stroke but White House operatives don’t want the American public to know.
