SHERMAN OAKS : D.A.’s Office Branch Leases New Space
A 10-year lease was finalized Tuesday for a new county district attorney’s branch office to be moved from Reseda to Sherman Oaks and expanded.
The office, which specializes in collection of child support payments, will be at 15531 Ventura Blvd. Annual rent of the 40,000-square-foot space will be $967,589, which includes all remodeling, furnishing and parking for employees.
The federal government will pay two-thirds of that cost.
A spokeswoman for the Bureau of Family Support had previously said the change would allow more aggressive collections from the so-called “deadbeat dads” through a new computer system and more room for files.
The office serves all of the San Fernando Valley as well as Burbank, Glendale and parts of West Los Angeles.
