Glendale : Hazardous Waste Roundup
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works is holding a household hazardous waste roundup from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Public Service Corporate Yard, 800 Air Way.
Wastes that will be accepted include motor oil, paint, paint thinner, turpentine, cleaners with acids or lyes, pesticides, and herbicides. There will be a limit of five gallons or 50 pounds per vehicle.
Items should be brought in a sturdy box, preferably in their original, labeled containers, which will be left at the site. Products are not to be mixed together, and no explosives, ammunition or radioactive materials will be accepted.
