THOUSAND OAKS : Man, Son Sentenced in Marijuana Case

A King City man and his son were sentenced Friday in connection with the seizure of 103 pounds of marijuana that investigators say was bound for Thousand Oaks.

Gordon Legault Sr., 45, was sentenced to six years in prison for possession of marijuana with intent to sell. Ventura County Superior Court Judge James M. McNally granted Legault’s request to apply to the California Rehabilitation Center, the prison system’s drug-treatment facility.

McNally placed Legault’s 19-year-old son, Gordon Legault Jr., on probation.

The Legaults were among 11 people arrested April 11 after an undercover investigation by the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. Investigators stopped a caravan of cars near Calabasas and seized marijuana that they said was bound for a drop-off point in Thousand Oaks.
