Coming to Town: “Saltimbanco’s Diary,” a documentary on the making of Cirque du Soleil’s new production, will air Aug. 28 at 9 p.m. on KNBC-TV Channel 4 as a warm-up to the theatrical circus’s arrival Oct. 8 in Santa Monica. The half-hour television feature was filmed in Montreal in April and May as “Saltimbanco” was being readied for its world premiere. Meanwhile, 50,000 more tickets for Cirque performances in Santa Monica through Nov. 8 go on sale Sunday.
