Smaller Quarters: Tustin-based Eldorado Bank rid itself of a large office in Newport Beach next to the airport business district for a cheaper branch half the size a few blocks away in Irvine.
Eldorado moved into a vacant office that was once used by now-defunct Independence Bank in Encino. “We just didn’t need the 7,800 square feet of space at the old branch because there was not a heavy amount of retail traffic,” said David Brown, Eldorado’s chief financial officer.
