FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Advisory About Scheduled Freeway Work Areas

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

FIRESTONE BOULEVARD (42)

1. South Gate: Eastbound and Westbound alternating lanes at Annetta Avenue; 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday; stenciling.

2. South Gate: Eastbound and Westbound alternating lanes at Mason Street and Loita Avenue; 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; stenciling.

HARBOR FREEWAY (110)

3. Carson: Northbound No. 2, 3 and 4 lanes from the San Diego Freeway (405) to 190th Street, including the northbound and southbound San Diego Freeway (405) connectors to the northbound Harbor Freeway (110); 5 a.m. to noon today; asphalt grinding.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

4. Bell: Southbound No. 4 lane from Atlantic Boulevard to Slauson Avenue, including the northbound Atlantic Boulevard on-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; road maintenance.

5. Bell: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes from Gage Avenue to Slauson Avenue; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; guardrail repair.

6. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 1 and 2 lanes at Olympic Boulevard; 6 a.m. to noon today; bridge repair.

7. Various Cities: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes from Humphreys Avenue to the Los Angeles River; 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; sweeping.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

8. Carson: Alameda Street off-ramp from the southbound San Diego Freeway (405); 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday; patching.

9. Long Beach: Northbound Bellflower Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound San Diego Freeway (405); 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; patching.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

10. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 5 lane from Ditman Avenue to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) at Triggs Street, including Ditman Avenue on-ramp and Olympic Boulevard off-ramp; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)

11. Long Beach: Northbound No. 1 lane from Gaffey Street on-ramp to the Vincent Thomas Bridge; 5 a.m. to noon today; painting.

12. Long Beach: Northbound No. 3 lane from Ocean Boulevard to the Commodore Schuyler F. Heim Draw Bridge; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; bridge repair.
