GLAAD Post: The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation of Los Angeles, a group that lobbies Hollywood film and TV creators for balanced portrayals of homosexuals, is expected on Monday to name David M. Smith, 32, as its new executive director. Smith, director of public information at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center, succeeds Richard Jennings, who now heads Hollywood Supports, the entertainment industry AIDS-response group.
