New Students in Santa Ana to Begin Registration Next Week

Instruction in the Santa Ana Unified School District begins Sept. 9, and new students will be able to register after Monday.

Students may register by bringing proof of age, including birth or baptismal certificate, immunization records, parents’ home address plus work and home phone numbers, names and telephone numbers of two emergency contacts, last school and date completed, and the family doctor’s name and phone number if available.

Parents or guardians who do not know which school their children should attend may call the district elementary division at (714) 558-5523 or the secondary division at (714) 558-5521. Children who will be 5 by Dec. 2 should be enrolled in kindergarten.

Registration begins at Century and Saddleback high schools on Monday, and at Santa Ana and Valley High Schools on Wednesday.

The County Health Care Agency, at 1725 W. 17th St. in Santa Ana, offers free immunizations. The agency’s phone number is (714) 834-3131.
