FREEWAY REPAIRS : Caltrans Issues Advisory About Scheduled Freeway Work Areas

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Cerritos: 183rd Street on-ramp to the westbound Artesia Freeway (91); 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday; asphalt grinding.

2. Cerritos: Westbound No. 4 lane from Norwalk Boulevard to Pioneer Boulevard, including Norwalk Boulevard on-ramp and Pioneer Boulevard off-ramp; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday; asphalt grinding.

3. Long Beach: Westbound No. 3 lane of the connector to the northbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 6 a.m. to noon today; graffiti removal.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

4. East Los Angeles: Southbound No. 5 lane from Olympic Boulevard to Humphreys Avenue, including Olympic Boulevard on-ramp; 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

5. East Los Angeles: Whittier Boulevard / Lorena Street off-ramp from the eastbound Pomona Freeway (60); 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. Monday; guardrail repair.

6. Various Cities: Eastbound and westbound No. 1 lanes from Indiana Avenue to Azusa Avenue; 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; sweeping.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

7. Long Beach: Northbound No. 5 lane from Studebaker Road to Palos Verdes Avenue, including Studebaker Road on-ramp and Palos Verdes Avenue off-ramp; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday; drilling.

8. Long Beach: Southbound No. 5 lane from Clark Avenue to Bellflower Boulevard, including Willow Street on-ramp and Bellflower Boulevard South off-ramp; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday; drilling.

9. Long Beach: Southbound No. 5 lane from the Long Beach Freeway (710) collector to Wardlow Road, including northbound and southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) connector ramps to the southbound San Diego Freeway (405); 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday; drilling.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

10. Cerritos: Southbound No. 1 lane from the Artesia Freeway (91) to Artesia Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; asphalt grinding.

11. Cerritos: Southbound No. 1 lane from Artesia Boulevard to South Street; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday; asphalt grinding.

12. Whittier: Southbound No. 1 lane at Bexley Drive undercrossing; 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday; bridge repair.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

13. Downey: Northbound alternating lanes from Lakewood Boulevard to Paramount Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; stenciling.

14. La Mirada: Northbound No. 4 lane from Artesia Boulevard to Rosecrans Avenue; 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday; landscaping.

TERMINAL ISLAND FREEWAY (47)

15. Long Beach: Northbound No. 1 lane from Gaffey Street on-ramp to the Vincent Thomas Bridge; 5 a.m. to noon today; painting.
