RESTAURANTS : Taco Bell Borrowing Del Taco Menu Ingredient With Burger Experiment

Del Taco has sometimes been accused of trying to emulate rival Taco Bell. But this time, it’s Taco Bell that’s playing catch-up.
A Taco Bell eatery in Mesa, Ariz., is experimenting with the addition of hamburgers to the menu, which now includes only Mexican-themed dishes. If Taco Bell, based in Irvine, decides to roll out burgers nationwide, there might be some lunch-hour gloating by the big enchiladas at Del Taco in Costa Mesa, which has built its reputation by offering both burgers and Mexican food.
