Atwater Village

Brunswick Avenue, 4200 block--Money and video equipment valued at $2,060 were stolen from a house between 11:45 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Aug. 20.

Brunswick Avenue, 4200 block--Jewelry and video equipment valued at $1,470 were stolen from an unlocked house between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 21.

Brunswick Avenue, 4400 block--Thieves entered an apartment through an unlocked window and stole jewelry and a TV valued at $1,570 between 6:30 and 9 p.m. Aug. 22.

Glendale

San Luis Rey Drive, 1200 block--A Kashmir silk rug, cordless phone, clock, tapestry and three Oriental rugs valued together at $5,760 were stolen from an unoccupied house for sale between Aug. 16 and 21.

Burchett Street, 300 block--A woman died in her condominium on Aug. 17 or 18, apparently by suicide.

Mariposa Street and Palmer Avenue--A woman sitting on a street corner with her clothing off was arrested for indecent exposure at 1:45 p.m. Aug. 20. The woman said she removed her clothes because of the hot weather.

Riverside Drive, 1500 block--Burglars broke into a business on Aug. 20 or 21 and stole five telephones, a fax machine and other office equipment of unknown value.

North Glendale Avenue, 400 block--A robber used a note to persuade a Sanwa Bank teller to give him $620 at 12:50 p.m. Aug. 21.

Brand Boulevard and Eulalia Street--A woman walking down the street with another woman at 9:15 p.m. Aug. 21 reported that a man walked up behind them and attempted to steal her purse at gunpoint. The man fired the gun and broke the purse strap but fled without the purse and was not apprehended.

North Central Avenue, 600 block--Thieves broke the sliding glass door of Dennis Pharmacy on Aug. 21 or 22, pried open a locked cabinet and stole prescription drugs of unknown value.

North Glendale Avenue, 200 block--Ten juveniles with backpacks entered Sportmart at 3:45 p.m. Aug. 22, created a disturbance and stole numerous pairs of shoes. Three of the juveniles were detained by police.

West Colorado Street, 600 block--Two street robberies were committed by three men who jumped out of an older American car early Saturday morning. An elderly couple on a walk at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 22 were treated for minor injuries after one young man hit both of them in the face, getting away with $3. Another man was robbed of $30 by the other two men in the car at 6:50 a.m. One of the men appeared to have a gun concealed under a jacket, the victim reported.

South Brand Boulevard, 1400 block--Custom tires and wheels valued at $4,480 were taken from four new cars at Los Feliz Ford on Aug. 22 or 23.

La Crescenta

Markridge Road, 2900 block--A toolbox and tools valued at $481 were stolen from an unlocked garage on Aug. 17 or 18.

Foothill Boulevard, 2500 block--A thief possibly used a key to enter Giovanni’s Restaurant on Aug. 19 or 20 and steal $300 cash from a drawer.

Eagle Rock

Colorado Boulevard, 1700 block--Burglars stole video equipment and a telephone valued at $1,250 from a home on Aug. 18 or 19.

Colorado Boulevard, 1100 block--A person walking in an alley at 1:15 p.m. Aug. 19 was struck on the head by a man during a robbery attempt.

West La Loma Road--Thieves cut a padlock off a commercial building and stole tools valued at $2,610 on Aug. 19 or 20.

North Figueroa Street, 6700 block--Three men brandishing firearms walked into a bar at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 19, fired three shots and fled with $1,703 cash.

Townsend Avenue, 4900 block--Two men ran up behind a woman on the street at 3:50 p.m. Aug. 20, snatched her purse and contents valued at $80, and pushed her to the ground.

Echo Park

Scott Street and Sargent Place--Two men with a handgun robbed a woman of her purse valued at $1,000 and fled in the victim’s vehicle at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 20.

Lucretia Street, 1500 block--A TV and jewelry valued at $1,378 were stolen from an apartment between 7 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Aug. 20.

Everett Street, 1000 block--Four men armed with knives robbed a person in a parking facility of a wallet and contents valued at $250 at 8:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Highland Park

York Boulevard, 4700 block--Burglars smashed through the ceiling of a market on Aug. 16 or 17 and stole money and firearms valued at $2,000.

Irvington Place, 5000 block--A woman reported that she was raped in a car by a man who had offered her a ride home at 1:45 a.m. Aug. 17.

York Boulevard, 5900 block--Two men pried open the rear door of a construction site and stole tools valued at $3,660 between 1 and 6 p.m. Aug. 17.

North Figueroa Street, 5500 block--A man with a revolver robbed a store employee of $900 cash at 7:45 p.m. Aug. 18.

Avenue 65 and Elgin Street--Two men in a car pulled alongside a woman walking on the sidewalk, and one brandished an assault weapon and demanded her purse at 10:45 a.m. Aug. 19. She gave them the purse and money valued at $280.

Nolden and Buchanan streets--Two men armed with a shotgun robbed a person on the sidewalk of jewelry valued at $150 at 11 a.m. Aug. 19.

North Avenue 57, 100 block--Two men got out of a car at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 20, pointed a gun at a woman, and took her purse and money valued at $128.

Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4000 block--A man and two women armed with a handgun robbed a person in a store of jewelry and money valued at $620 at 6:10 p.m. Aug. 22.

Monte Vista Street, 5300 block--Three men robbed a store employee at gunpoint of cigarettes and money valued at $525 at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 22.

Longfellow Street, 5300 block--Burglars cut the screen of an apartment to unlock the door and stole jewelry valued at $3,080 between 10 and 11 a.m. Aug. 23.

Glassell Park

Eagle Rock Boulevard and Avenue 36--Police arrested three suspects after a beauty shop robbery at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 17.

Verdugo Road and Glendale Freeway--A man broke a car window with a rock, ordered the driver to get out and stole the car at 12:40 a.m. Aug. 20.

Verdugo Road and Eagle Rock Boulevard--A man jumped into a car after breaking the passenger window, robbed the driver at knifepoint of $450 and stole the car at 11:45 p.m. Aug. 21.

Los Feliz

Rowena Avenue, 3200 block--Burglars entered an apartment while a family slept and stole a stereo and TV valued at $1,200 on the night of Aug. 18.

Los Feliz and Griffith Park boulevards--Two men in a car drove by another man in a car and shot him in the back with a handgun at 8 p.m. Aug. 19.

Rowena Avenue, 3300 block--Money and a stereo valued together at $1,005 were stolen from an apartment between 5:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m. Aug. 21.

Hollywood Boulevard and Edgemont Street--Two men snatched a purse and contents valued at $70 from a woman on the sidewalk at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 22.

Silver Lake

Fountain Avenue and Bates Avenue--Five men in a car drove up to a man on the street at 2 a.m. Aug. 17 and asked him whether he was homosexual, then two of them beat the man with crowbars.

Brunswick Avenue, 4100 block--Jewelry and firearms valued at $3,530 were stolen from a house between 6:20 a.m. and 8 p.m. Aug. 17.

Fountain Avenue, 3900 block--A man with a handgun forced two people in a liquor store to the floor and robbed them of $110 cash at 6:05 p.m. Aug. 18.

Whitmore Avenue, 1900 block--Cameras and video equipment valued at $1,836 were stolen from a house between 5:30 a.m. and 3:10 p.m. Aug. 18.

Sunset Boulevard, 3800 block--Thieves broke through the rear window of a business on Aug. 19 or 20 and stole a telephone and jewelry.

Reservoir Street, 2300 block--Tools valued at $34,000 were stolen from a garage on Aug. 19 or 20.

Redcliff Street, 2000 block--A man robbed a woman in her driveway at gunpoint of money and jewelry valued at $410 at 6:40 p.m. Aug. 21.

Alvarado Street, 1600 block--Two men in a truck opened fire with a handgun on six people sitting in a yard at 1 a.m. Aug. 23.
