A prosecutor in Muncie, Ind., said criminal charges will be filed against three former Ball State basketball players for allegedly making thousands of dollars in long-distance telephone calls and billing them to the university.
Paris McCurdy, Marcus Johnson and Curtis Kidd are accused of using university credit card numbers assigned to Coach Dick Hunsaker and assistant coach Leonard Drake. Telephone calls totaling $18,421.98 allegedly were made by the three former players and some friends during a period of almost four years.
