COUNTYWIDE : Jeep Overturns, Killing Simi Woman
A Simi Valley woman was killed early Sunday when the Jeep she was driving overturned on Foothill Road northeast of Ventura, authorities reported.
Nancy Joy Gilbertson, 27, died about 1 a.m. when she apparently lost control of her vehicle about half a mile east of Olive Road, causing it to veer across the road and roll over, the California Highway Patrol said.
The victim, who was wearing a seat belt, was pinned under the Jeep, authorities said.
A passenger, Christine Marie Ryan, 28, of Northridge, received minor injuries.
