James E. Haden, president of Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina, has been appointed chairman of the California Hospitals Joint Committee on Public Affairs-Southern California.
The committee will focus on projects to educate the media and the public about such hospital issues as low reimbursement rates, the impact of indigent patients and closure of trauma and emergency services.
