GOLF ROUNDUP : Brooks Is Leader in Milwaukee
Mark Brooks continued his bid Saturday to become the first player to win the $1-million Greater Milwaukee Open two years in a row.
Brooks shot a 65 to take a one-stroke lead at 201 over Richard Zokol after third rounds at Franklin, Wis.
Angie Ridgeway, with some luck, grabbed a share of the first-round lead with Rosie Jones in an LPGA tournament at Springfield, Ill.
Ridgeway needed to make an eight-foot putt for par on her final hole to equal Jones’ seven-under-par 65. She hit the ball to the edge of the cup, where it hung on the lip several seconds before falling in.
Bruce Crampton shot a 63 to take a one-stroke lead over Tommy Aaronin a $400,000 senior PGA Tour event at Grand Rapids, Mich.
