OUTLOOK

Injuries and an inability to find the end zone plagued Ocean View last season. The Seahawks scored only nine touchdowns and averaged only 6.3 points per game. “We had six or seven major injuries,” Isom said. “We had so many guys playing out of position that we never established any continuity. I never had the same offensive line for more than one game. We never established any continuity.” Ocean View doesn’t figure to get much help from its lower level teams. The sophomore team finished 3-7, and the freshman team was 0-9-1. Isom dropped the sophomore team this year. There is some good news, however. Kickers Wersching, Park and Jon Dempsey consistently hit 45-yard field goals while working out during the summer. Wersching kicked a 42-yarder last year.
