San Fernando Valley Headquarters of the Democratic Campaign ’92 will host a grand opening rally Saturday. Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Dianne Feinstein is expected to attend along with local candidates, politicians and celebrities. The event is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at campaign headquarters, 5426 Van Nuys Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information, call (818) 784-9913.

Horace Heidt, Republican candidate for the 40th Assembly District, will recognize the achievements of San Fernando Valley entertainment and sports personalities at an “All-American Celebration” dinner dance scheduled for Saturday. Actor and writer Pat Buttram is expected to serve as master of ceremonies, and actor Dick Van Patten and Board of Equalization member Matt Fong will make special presentations. There will be dancing to the Henry Cuesta Quintet. A no-host cocktail reception is scheduled for 6 p.m. and dinner will begin at 7 p.m. at the Radisson Valley Center Hotel, formerly the Valley Hilton, 15433 Ventura Blvd., Sherman Oaks. Rep. Howard Berman (D-Panorama City), Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molia, and U.S. Senate candidate Dianne Feinstein are scheduled to speak Saturday at “Latino Unity Day” at Brand Park, 15174 San Fernando Mission Blvd., San Fernando. The event, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will include performances by a variety of Latino musical groups and a voter registration drive. Admission is free and the public is invited.
