State Budget Problems
Conrad’s cartoon (Sept. 6) depicts California devastated by Hurricane Wilson. In an adjoining column “This Time Wilson Wasn’t Bushwacked,” we are informed that the new overall budget will be $57.4 billion versus $55.7 billion last year and that the new budget for public schools is 4.5% higher than last year. Who are we to believe?
