SENATE WATCH: When Democratic Sen. Brock Adams of Washington abruptly ended his reelection bid--and his political career--last March after published allegations of sexual misconduct, initial speculation about his party’s candidate for the seat focused on several of the state’s biggest political names. . . . So in Tuesday’s primary, the Democratic contest pits a former congressman, Don Bonker, against state Sen. Patty Murray, a self-described “mom in tennis shoes.” . . . Among Republicans, Rep. Rod Chandler faces Tim Hill, a Seattle-area public official, and state Sen. Leo K. Thorsness, a former prisoner of war in Vietnam.
