Slava Kozlov has won his fight to remain with the Detroit Red Wings. A lawsuit filed by the former Soviet Red Army team earlier this year was dismissed by U.S. District Judge Julian Cook Jr., Red Wing lawyer Charles Raimi said.

The Central Sports Club had asked Cook to overturn a ruling in Wayne County Circuit Court that allowed Kozlov to play with the Red Wings late last season. Kozlov, a center, played in seven games and had two assists.

Kozlov claimed his Russian contract was signed under duress and was invalid. He signed a three-year, $750,000 contract with Detroit last February.
