Police Chief Richard Thomas handed out Certificates of Excellence.

Among the recipients were three repairmen who were working in a Wells Fargo Bank lobby on June 19 when a robber held up the bank.

Leonard Parks, Dave Smith and Robert Wagner of Cal-Air in Whittier pursued the suspect and tackled him in the bank’s parking lot.
